Recurring shallow breathing with cough should be assessed rather than attributed to weather alone. The pattern, triggers and examination can help distinguish airway problems from other causes; the description does not confirm asthma or anxiety.
Next Steps
Arrange a physician review, with earlier assessment if you are currently breathless. Note whether symptoms occur at rest, with exertion, at night or around dust and smoke. Avoid smoke and known triggers while awaiting review.
Health Tips
Severe breathing difficulty, inability to speak normally, chest heaviness, blue or grey lips, fainting or confusion requires emergency care. Do not start an inhaler from a public answer without assessment.

Frequent shallow breathing with cough can occur with cold/dry air, allergies, or an airway infection, but it should not be assumed to be only due to climate change. * Keep yourself warm and avoid cold/dusty air and smoke. * Stay hydrated and try warm fluids. * Monitor whether you have wheezing, chest tightness or breathlessness with activity. * If symptoms persist for more than a few days or keep recurring, consult a physician for examination and oxygen saturation check. * Seek urgent care if breathing becomes significantly difficult, you develop chest pain, bluish lips, high fever, or low oxygen saturation.

* Frequent shallow breathing with occasional cough can have several causes, including airway irritation/infection, asthma, allergies or anxiety; climate change alone cannot establish the cause.
Next Steps
* Get a clinical examination with oxygen saturation and chest examination. * Depending on findings, CBC, chest X-ray or pulmonary function test may be required. * Avoid self-starting antibiotics or inhalers without assessment.
Health Tips
* Stay hydrated and avoid smoke, dust and other respiratory irritants. * If breathlessness is worsening, occurs at rest, or is associated with chest pain, wheezing or low oxygen saturation, seek prompt medical evaluation. * Severe breathing difficulty, inability to speak normally, blue/pale lips or confusion → emergency care immediately. Frequent shallow breathing with an occasional cough should not be assumed to be only due to climate change. Please arrange an in-person consultation with a physician, preferably soon, for a proper history and examination. Depending on your symptoms, the doctor may check your oxygen saturation, chest and breathing and decide whether tests such as a chest X-ray or lung-function testing are needed. Meanwhile, avoid smoking/vaping and obvious dust or air-pollution triggers, stay hydrated, and rest. Seek urgent/emergency care immediately if you develop severe difficulty breathing, chest pain/heaviness, bluish/pale lips, confusion, coughing up blood, or rapidly worsening symptoms. nhs.uk+1
Next Steps
Given that the complaint specifically says “frequently shallow breath,” booking a consultation rather than treating it only with diet or home remedies.

Hello Ma'am, I will need a little bit of more details about your problem. If it had happen previously in winter seasons or are you having any kind of allergies or any previous respiratory infections. Then accordingly I can advise you the medications. For example, if you are not facing severe breathlessness, bluish discoloration of nails, cough with sputums, fever then the most probable case can be Seasonal Allergic sinusitis/rhinosinusitis(can't be assured until proven). In such case, you can take Tab Cetrizine 10mg 1 tab once a day at bedtime and Nasivion S nasal spray(only if runny nose)

Shallow breathing with a mild cough that comes and goes with the weather is usually the airway reacting to dust, pollen or humidity shifts, not a lung problem on its own.
Next Steps
A general physician visit is worth it if this keeps recurring, to rule out allergies or a mild respiratory infection.
Health Tips
Please seek urgent care if you ever feel breathless at rest or your lips and fingertips turn bluish.
