Ten years is a really long time to be in a relationship & get used to the other person. It seems you are still processing this fact & grieving. There must be a lot of memories connected with your ex & it is really hard for you as you do not know how to lead life without them not being there anymore. It is really hard & time consuming when a long term relationship ends.

Hi It’s quite painful to go through a break-up. There will be many instances where you would be missing ur partner. And it’s not easy to let it go, or stop the emotions or thoughts. Take time. It can’t be done forcefully. Am sure you would be feeling a vacuum in ur life, it’s you would be very habitual of your partner and has suddenly disappeared. Accept it that it’s over. This acceptance too will take time. Hopefully you have the reasons of your break-up and consider it with utmost understanding and empathy. It’s very important for you to understand that it wouldn’t have been easy for ur partner too. Ur happiness is also important for you right now. Involve in activities that make u happy. Meet with ur friends, involve urself in exercises and self care. It is ok to cry for ur missing partner. The faster u accept the break-up the faster the healing
Next Steps
Please consult to overcome your sadness There are healthier ways to cope with such distress. Talking about ur loneliness and sadness to a non judgmental stranger is better than talking to a friend. Take care. Always there to help.

I’m really sorry you’re going through this—it’s incredibly tough to process the end of a 10-year relationship. Right now, your mind is likely overwhelmed with emotions, memories, and uncertainty about the future. The pain is real, but so is your strength to get through this. A breakup, especially after such a long time, feels like grief. You’re not just losing a person; you’re letting go of a shared future, habits, and emotional security. It’s okay to feel lost, angry, sad, or even numb. Healing isn’t about forgetting—it’s about learning to live again, step by step.
Next Steps
✔ Limit contact – If staying in touch is hurting more than helping, take space. ✔ Express emotions – Journal, talk to a trusted friend, or seek professional help. ✔ Focus on routines – Even if nothing feels the same, small routines create stability. ✔ Mind-body connection – Exercise, eat well, and practice mindfulness to regulate emotions. ✔ New experiences – Try something new—hobbies, travel, or anything that helps shift focus.
Health Tips
If the thoughts feel too overwhelming, therapy can help process emotions safely and develop coping strategies. You don’t have to figure it all out alone—healing takes time, but with the right support, you’ll find your way forward.

Hi, Going through a breakup after such a long relationship can be incredibly painful, but it's important to prioritize your healing. Start by allowing yourself to feel your emotions—it's normal to experience sadness, anger, or confusion. Engage in self-care activities that bring you joy and comfort, whether it's spending time with friends, exercising, or pursuing hobbies. Consider journaling your feelings or talking to a therapist, which can provide valuable support and perspective. Establish new routines to help occupy your mind and create a sense of stability. Lastly, try to distance yourself from reminders of the relationship, if possible, to help the healing process. Remember, it takes time to heal, but with each passing day, the intensity of your feelings will likely lessen.
