Blue marks on ankle

I had sustained an ankle injury on 6th Mar. I had a swollen ankle and I used the following treatments since then:- 1. Volini spray - 4 times a day 2. Hot water with salt - twice daily 3. Crack bandage - all day 4. Elevated foot - all day 5. Ibrufen - once a day Now, since Monday I have a blue patch on my foot below the ankle area. This patch doesn't hurt but looks like blood clotting perhaps. I would like to know the treatment for this.

If you are still having pain, stiffness or swelling, consult a physiotherapist... Otherwise so some icepack +use thrombophob gel(thrice a day) at that bluish area. It will work for sure.

You Should have seek medical opinion and never used hot water or massages over foot. Never mind, don't do any massages now, consult an orthopaedic for x ray of ankle, and proceed accordingly. In the meantime as first aid, just apply crepe bandage and take ibuprofen 400 mg tds, (one a day doesn't counts). You obviously need a clinical examination to see the exact injury and present situation. Our message is not an alternative to that.
