Hello I am 34 weeks pregnant currently no issues have been diagnosed as of now there are no complications or issues as per my recent scan too..but my doctor has suggested to take betnesol injection for lung maturity of baby but I am bit concerned as it's a steroid and moreover I don't have any indication of preterm labour.. please suggest me ahead.

Hello, Some doctors may have it as a protocol but if there are no chances of preterm labour or the baby is IUGR then no apparent need for betnesol injection. Regardd

Injection is for lung maturity of baby . Some prescribe it as a prophylactic treatment. Its safe though.
