Me and my whole family had covid. We recovered very well. But one day after eating antibiotic i started having heart palpitations... About 10-15 days ago... I showed to cardiologist and he said it's anxiety related as ecg was normal. I still have feeling of fear and little chest pain and palpitations with dizziness. I am 18yo. Is it normal anxiety attack?

Hi I appreciate that you reach out for help Understand it's not the situation/ event that causes  panic the way we think about it causes panic First sit at a place, drink sip by sip water, after finishing your drinking start taking deep breaths for 5 min Now write which thoughts about the situation/ event/ person are bothering you...see 1) is it real or u feel like 2) am I demanding by myself/ others 3) am I Awefulizing 4) am I catastrophizing 5) am I self depreciating Once u find the real self distructi've thought Replace with new constructive one Do daily some exercise- even 30 min walk can help Do rhythmic muscle relaxation technique Listen calming meditation from YouTube

Panic attacks or anxiety attacks are quite common in young adults these days but they must not be ignored. It's mind/body's way of telling you that something is not right and you need to address it. There is some underlying condition, may be a conflict, fear, guilt, anticipation or something else which you may be trying to repress consciously or unconsciously. Psychotherapy/counselling will help you identify that concern and address it from the root.
Next Steps
Seek a Psychologist/Psychotherapist
Health Tips
If frequency and intensity of these panic/ anxiety attacks are high, you can also visit a Psychiatrist. He may prescribe some anti-anxiety medication, if required.
