Usually ACL injuries could have some continuing swelling. Sometimes they shave under knee cap if they do that it could have some swelling for some extra time.
There are different stages of exercising.
-One is bed bound, leg lifts on your back sideways and on your tummy
- secondly, to improve strength with weight bearing like squats, exercise bike, etc
- third wobble board and balance exercises
- sport specific plyometric training

sometimes as a result of some weakness there can be some patellofemoral (knee cap) issues, which will need icing for 15 minutes with towel wrapping, 3 times per day
