Nicotex can worsen acidity, throat irritation and burping, but it is unlikely to have permanently damaged your food pipe. Your symptoms fit reflux/gastritis, and two days is too early to judge the treatment. Continue only the medicines prescribed by your GP; persistent symptoms need an examination and medication review.
Next Steps
Eat small meals, avoid mint, spicy/oily food, late-night meals, alcohol and further nicotine use; do not lie down for 3 hours after eating. Seek urgent care for difficulty or pain while swallowing, vomiting blood, black stools, chest pain or weight loss. If not clearly improving within 5–7 days, arrange a Practo consult with me or see a gastroenterologist.

Acidity and a lump-in-throat feeling can take more than two days to settle, especially after a change like quitting smoking. This doesn't sound like something a nicotine patch would permanently damage on its own.
Next Steps
Please go back to the doctor who prescribed these medicines if symptoms haven't eased by day 5 to 7.
Health Tips
Don't add or change any medicine on your own, and try to cut down outside food and stress for now.

Hello mam Your symptoms are most consistent with acid reflux/indigestion, and nicotine can worsen these symptoms. Nicotine is unlikely to have permanently damaged your oesophageal lining. Continue the medicines prescribed by your doctor and avoid smoking/nicotine, spicy/oily foods, excess tea/coffee, and lying down soon after meals. If the throat sensation or burning persists despite treatment, or you develop difficulty swallowing, vomiting, weight loss, bleeding, or severe chest pain, please consult me in practo for further evaluation.

Nicotine intake can irritate the gastric mucosa and may also worsen acid reflux and esophageal irritation, potentially leading to increased acidity, heartburn, and other gastric symptoms. In such cases, it is advisable to reduce or avoid nicotine intake, limit spicy and oily foods, avoid lying down immediately after meals, and take a short walk after eating. If you share your detailed medical history, including your symptoms, duration, current medications, and any relevant medical conditions, I can assess your situation more appropriately and suggest suitable medication through the Practo app.

Likely GERD/dyspepsia, possibly aggravated by nicotine use and dietary changes. Avoid nicotine, spicy/fatty meals, late-night eating, and unnecessary medications; persistent symptoms need clinical review. For personalized evaluation and treatment, you may connect with me via Practo.
