Amniocentesis QFPCR result positive
Hi I am 31 years old and I have done my nt scan and double marker test in which nt scan was normal but double marker detected trisomy 21 positive i.e. 1:121 ratio.Afterwards i go for amniocentesis in my 17 week and get my report QFPCR positive for trisomy 21 which means my baby has down syndrome due to which doctor has suggested me for D&c after karyotype result. This is my first baby and I am very much disheartened.I Don't understand what to do. If I terminate my pregnancy What are chances of having my second baby with down syndrome.I am very scared and after how many months I can conceive again. Is D&C painful during second trimester.
