Alternative to Risperidone?
Hello Doctor, I am on Zisper LS 2mg morning and 4mg at night also Oleanz 5mg BD, Sulpitac 200 BD and Oxetol XR 600 BD. This is the second time i have been prescribed Risperidone. It makes me drowsy and i cannot concentrate, makes me more anxious and i am feeling helpless as i am unable to do anything. Its been 1 week and my practitioner says it would take a little time to get used to it. Would there be an alternative to Risperidone which does not have such side effects. Please suggest.

Try lurasidone 20 mg initially and later increase the dose to 40 mg. This has less sedation compared to resperidon or olanzapine.
Next Steps
You can shift the morning doses of resperidon and olanzapine to night. Then there will be no day time sedation.
Health Tips
Discuss this with your treating psychiatrist.

It's better to discuss the matter with your doctor who has prescribed you the medicine or you may consult another Psychiatrist.
