Hi. Dose of acamprosate needs to be tailored according to body weight. This dose you are mentioning is probably not the cumulative dosage taken in one day which is higher.

I think this medicine may be used for Deaddiction. If u having Deaddiction treatment then aalong with medicine u must take counselling with psychotherapy. Without proper mental health management u cannot remove the addiction. Change of behaviour or Change of mind set that no more addiction is the key treatment.
