Advice for iPill
Hello Doctor, I need your advice regarding emergency contraception. I was taking Freedase 30 to regulate my periods and completed all 21 pills correctly. I took my last pill on 17 October. My bleeding started on 19 October, and I had sex on the same day. My partner ejaculated inside me. I am worried about the risk of pregnancy and am considering taking i-Pill. Could you please advise whether I need emergency contraception, whether it is safe for me to take it, and when I should restart Freedase 30? Please also let me know what changes in bleeding I should expect and when I should take a pregnancy test. Thank you, Doctor.

Since you took your contraceptive pill pack correctly with no missed doses, you're still protected against pregnancy through this pill-free week, including the sex you had on the 19th. Taking i-Pill on top of that isn't needed here and can actually upset your hormone levels and bleeding pattern unnecessarily.
Next Steps
Restart your next pill pack exactly a week after your last active pill, regardless of whether the bleeding has fully finished. Your withdrawal bleed may run slightly longer or heavier this cycle, which is common and not a concern. Please discuss this with your gynaecologist to confirm the exact restart date.
Health Tips
If you miss the restart date or skip pills in the new pack, protection isn't certain, so take a home pregnancy test if your period doesn't arrive as expected.
