Acute Dental Trauma
I fell off a cycle, and fell on my chin, about 9 months ago. The impact was fully absorbed by my teeth, and my ear on one side. After I could open my jaw a little, I was told that I all my teeth were moving, and that I had 2 split teeth that needed immediate attention. I got the other broken teeth filled for the time being, and began treatment. I had to have one of the two split teeth extracted because it had a vertical root fracture. The other one has a lesion and an infection and is still being treated. Apart from that, I have 7 teeth that aren't responding to the pulp test and have apparently died, along with severe pain on one side of my jaw. I haven't chewed anything harder than bread since I fell, and my teeth occasionally throb, ache, get sensitive and buzz. I've also finished another root canal. My endodontist, while brilliant, has no experience with trauma cases, and I'm wondering if it's normal to be undergoing treatment for this long. Please help. I'm desperate, and in pain

9 months is a quite sometime. Even if you had a fracture it would have been healed.  I wished  i was there to see you....could have been helpful  as a Maxillofacial Surgeon. Anyways its difficult to advise anything without through check up. Thus i advise you to follow your specialist for needful. Regards, Dr. Manmeet Singh Maxillofacial Cosmetic & Reconstructive Surgeon & Cosmetologist. Health Cottage Hospital, Bangalore.
