ACR INCREASE IN TYPE 1 DIABITIES
My friend son is 15 year old boy. He is type 1 diabitic from last 4 years and is on insulin. Now Doctor has advised to go for ACR test and the redult is 89. Is this curable with medicine and how serious this problem is.

It suggests mild kidney injury due to diabetes. However, the sugar levels have to be strictly controlled before one goes ahead with the acr test else, falsely elevated values can be seen. Medicines are available however, I would suggest controlling the sugar and then repeating the test for confirmation.
