Acne is a chronic condition and can be effectively kept under ' control' once it gets cleared . Persistent adult acne is mostly related to hormonal causes hence it is important to rule it out. Adjuvant treatment modalities like comedone extraction, peels, laser can be added depending on the response. With treatment you will definitely have a good result but do not stop treatment on your own as soon as you see improvement otherwise the pimples might recur again. Avoid scratching/ frequent touching/scrubbing the acne as it leads to pigmentation. Along with this you need to focus on lifestyle changes like daily exercise, avoiding outside junk food, excessive intake of dairy products and consume more vegetables. Timely treatment will prevent formation of scars and pigmentation. Visit www.eternisclinic.com for information regarding skin care tips for acne prone skin. Hope this answers your questions.
