My wife got acne all over her back after wearing a specific garment. We have tried applying clotrimazole but it is not helpful. Could you suggest any ointment?

Hi there! It sounds like your wife might have developed a bit of "acne mechanica" from the garment, which happens when certain fabrics trap sweat and bacteria against the skin. Clotrimazole is antifungal, so if it hasn't helped, it's likely because this isn't a fungal issue.
Instead, you might want to try an ointment with benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid, which are both great for acne. Applying it once a day after washing the area with a gentle cleanser can help reduce the breakouts. Make sure she wears loose, breathable fabrics, especially in Mumbaiâs humid climate, as tight clothes can worsen back acne. If it doesn't improve in a week or two, it would be best to see a dermatologist for a more tailored solution!
