ACL tear reconstruction is a fairly straightforward surgery and has good outcomes. ACL tear is a common sports injury. Choice of surgery depends on your activity levels also. Speak to your surgeon and discuss all options. In any case you will need lot of exercises which are aimed at developing strength of your thigh muscles which should not be compromised.
