Accuracy of glucometer
Sir, Iam testing in home with glucometer,. Apollo brand Last month I have checked Before fasting 122 After break fast 200 I done in lab hba1c 8.4 on June 2 I have taken steriods injection may 11 to 15 5 days. On covid time I recovered on may 30th I have test evey week. I observed continue 3 weeks June 10 Fasting 99 After breakfast 135  I eated rice sir After lunch 142 June 20 Fasting 89 After breakfast 113 I eated rice sir After lunch 129 June 27 Fasting 93 After breakfast 119 I eated rice sir After lunch 110 Sir my dout I have sugar or not plz telle me sir

The rise in sugar initially could be purely due to steroid use. You can wait for 3 months and get hba1c test done again. Meanwhile, you can check Fasting and post meal sugar every month. It's unlikely to be diabetes but still to be sure, follow up on the tests. You can consult me on practo if the further reports are still derranged or if you have any other concerns.

You might have. Difficult to say for certain as you definitely had steroid induced high sugar. The hba1c is suggestive of diabetes but it’s done immediately after steroid course.
