About retinal detachment
I had retinal detachment in left eye with macula off for more than 6 months and had a vitrectomy, after 3 weeks of my first surgery i got another detachment in my lower retina and had again vitrectomy with silicon oil but after that surgery my vision is very blurry and distorted but I can see some shadows in my side vison and when I look there it go away from there. so I thought it can be another detachment I went to my surgen and checked up by him but he said my retina is good and the shadow is due to oil and my vision will clear wih time . So my question is that why am I seeing that shadow?

Hello,. Just for you to understand, when you pour oil in water, they don't mix and oil floats right.. same way in your eyes the oil can float and move around. This is emulsification. We are only guessing here,as I have not seen your eyes and examined.. In your case, you've have two vitrectomies, so that's the most probable cause.
Next Steps
if your ophthalmologist has examined your retina, then you do not have to worry about those shadows. keep regularly following up with your doctor.
Health Tips
if sudden areas of blackness develop, instead of the shadows,if you develop pain, redness etc then also immediately visit your doctor.
