About radiation effects of x-rays

Asked for Female, 30 Years

I work with imagining centre since last two years. I have to take x-rays. But since past few months sometime I have not used protection while taking x-rays. I am scared now about its hazardous effect in future. I need to know the radiation level in my body.Are there any specific tests that I need to get it done to check it? Please let me know. How bad it can go?

There is no need to worry. You should always use protection and also your safety badge that calculates your exposure. In one or two days no much harm will b there. But start using lead apron with thyroid protection device and wear your safety badge compulsory. Drink pelnty of water if u feel dehydrated because of radiation
