Dengue if present will show within 1 week after bite. sometimes upto 10 days also. dengue is a viral infection. the treatment consist only of symptomatic relief for the child. you can give only paracetamol for decreasing fever along with body sponge. if it is diagnosed you have to go for blood investigation either into or three days to see for decrease in platelet. no specific treatment is given for dengue and the doctor will wait till the body recovers from dengue by itself. very important to maintain hydration by giving regular water fluids and small amount of easily digestible food. please remain in contact with your doctor for more information and any confusion
