Hi doctor , I am suffering ankle sprain from last Sunday. X ray done and no fracture found. Can I apply powergesic gel on my ankle? Swelling decreases slowly and pain also. But cant to walk properly..

Thanks for asking me to respond. It is not a good idea to rub into the area of sprain. Do not walk to much. Get medicines for pain from the nearest clinic or hospital. Keep the leg elevated over pillows. Apply ice pack over the ankle and a crepe bandage. If pain persists for more than a week then an MRI may be necessary. I cannot prescribe meds as Practo prohibits me from doing so. Good luck.
