Slight bleeding at 8 weeks maybe due to a retroplacental clot/ threatened abortion/other variants like molar pregancy or ectopic pregnancy. Get an ultrasound done immediately. If fetus is intrauterine with retroplacental clot we can start micronised progesterone. If report is suggestive of missed abortion /mole/ectopic management will differ. So ultrasound to be done at the earliest.
