Hi , I appreciate all the feedback and help this group could give.
I have an exclusively breastfed reflux baby, 8 months old now (pediatriciandiagnosed him with GErd), and he keeps looking to feed every hour on average. He has started taking solids as well 2 months now. But since he keeps looking for milk, I am never sure if he is really hungry or not. He has also developed a habit of feeding to sleep during the day. Can someone guide me on how to know if the baby is really hungry or just looking for comfort feeding. Also how to manage this feeding schedule with work. I am asking as I have resumed work, and it is becoming difficult to manage on demand feeding during day time. He has started teething as well it seems.

Hello
Baby is likely hungry if:
2.5–3 hours since last feed
Shows hunger cues (rooting, sucking hands)
Takes a full feed
Baby is comfort-feeding if:
Wants milk every 30–60 min
Feeds only a few minutes then sleeps
Feeding mainly to fall asleep
Teething or fussy
Next Steps
Increase solids to 3 meals
Space milk feeds to 2.5–3 hours
Use rocking/teether/distraction if baby asks too soon
Try to reduce “feed to sleep” gradually
Caregiver can give expressed milk + solids while you’re at work
Health Tips
Seek help If baby:
Is not gaining weight
Vomits forcefully
Refuses feeds
Has blood in vomit or stool
Has excessive crying
Otherwise, this is a very normal pattern at 8 months.
