As per Indian Pediatrics advice, we give FLU shot, OPV and Hep B vaccine at 6 months. FLU shot prevents against Seasonal flu and also againt Swine Flu. Also, if your child has received 3 doses of Injectable Polio Vaccine (IPV) at 6,10 and 14 weeks, then you have to give him Polio drops at 6 months. If he has received OPV at 6,10 and 14 weeks, then its not required. If your child has received 3 Hepatitis B vaccine till date( it is part of Pentavalent/Pentaxim), then you dont need to give him Hep B at 6 months.
