4th stage gallbladder carcinoma
My father having 4th stage gallbladder carcinoma...is there any real hope for cure or at least to prolong the survival period ??? Is it really 6-8 months or there's any hope and treatment to prolong this ?? Doctors suggested to undergo palliative chemotherapy...pls show me a way to overcome this situation as soon as possible ..

Gallbladder stage 4. No cure can be expected. With or without chemotherapy survival is about 6 months. If ur grandfather condition is not fit u can opt for no treatment also at least he will have some benefit of spending time at home. Plan: Best supportive care VS palliative chemotherapy.

Gall bladder cancers are difficult to treat, have seen your reports, palliative chemo seems to be the way for now

It depends on disease burden ..sites involved Histology and general condition.. Chemoresponsiveness.. Could not be commented on a public forum..
