Usually a normal cycle duration is 28 days . We expect ovulation occurring in such cycles. But if cycles are 45 days or 60days , there is less.chance of ovulation, i.e. no release of egg. You need to use ovulation induction medications and trigger injections for the same. Ovulation however can occur in some cases, but is highly unpredictable
Next Steps
consullt a Gynaecologist if u have been trying for long and still not able to conceive
Health Tips
infertility treatment is best individualized. one rule doesn't apply to all patients. don't self medicate

As you are having prolonged cycle, there is chance that you actually may not have ovulation. therefore, it's better to do serum progesterone on Day21, 28, 35 or preferably you should do TVS follicular study. However, in practice, we seldom do it. We usually give medicines for ovulation and check the ovulation by TVS.
