4 months baby crying nonstop
My 4 months old baby cries loudly with tears when we go for some gatherings, functions and church. Very difficult to soothe him. Otherwise at home , he is calm and managable. Is this normal? Will it resolvs when he grows up? Is this symptom of any behavioural issue?

This behavior is quite common and normal at around 4 months of age. Many babies at this stage become more sensitive to unfamiliar environments, loud sounds, bright lights, and new faces, which can easily overwhelm them. This is sometimes called early stranger anxiety or sensory overstimulation. Since your baby is calm and manageable at home (a familiar and secure environment), it strongly suggests that this is not a behavioral problem or illness, but a normal developmental phase. At this age, babies are still learning to process external stimuli, so crowded places like functions or church can make them feel unsafe, leading to loud crying that is difficult to soothe. The fact that he cries with tears and settles at home is reassuring. No medicines are required for this condition.

New environment, so much to process leads to overstimulation. They will get acquainted eventually
