Some of the milestones you mentioned are reassuring, like sitting independently, bearing weight on the legs, tracking objects and smiling. However, not responding to her name, limited social interaction and not rolling over by 9 months should be assessed by a pediatrician/developmental specialist. It does not necessarily mean something serious, but an early developmental evaluation, including a hearing assessment, is recommended. Early assessment is always better if there are concerns.

Hello, It is reassuring that your baby is sitting independently, bearing weight well, and reaching out for objects, as these are appropriate developmental milestones for her age. However, not responding to her name, not making adequate eye contact or looking at faces, and delays in language or social milestones are areas that need further evaluation. I would recommend consulting your paediatrician for a detailed developmental assessment. A hearing assessment should also be done to rule out hearing impairment as a possible cause of delayed response to sounds and speech. Early evaluation and intervention, if required, can make a significant difference in developmental outcomes.

Greetings While some physical milestones like independent sitting and bearing weight are excellent signs, not tracking faces and not responding to her name at 9 months are early developmental flags that warrant attention.Three distinct potential causes for these specific behaviors include a temporary hearing difficulty (such as fluid in the ear), a social-communication delay, or an early marker of autism spectrum disorder (ASD).To help address these concerns, three recommended next steps are to request a comprehensive evaluation from your pediatrician
