I got my extraction done yesterday
As per my doctor's advice, I had liquid diet, no smoking, and didn't spit
But after 24hours I see no blood clot there anymore in the extraction hole
A white tissue has formed around the hole
Is there any possibility of dry socket there?

Hello ,
If you are having severe pain then it might be dry socket
Visit to your dentist for topical application of medication. Followed by regular medication ( Antibiotic & Analgesic) course.
If there is no pain then follow Post extraction rule for fast healing .
1. Donot spit for 24hrs.
2. Avoiding eating hard , hot, spicy food from that side .
3. Apply ice extra orally thrice daily.
4. Avoiding putting your tongue on extration area which may interfere in healing of socket .
5. Avoiding pulling air from that side .
6. Aviod drinking hot and cold beverages for 5 to7 days .
7. Start Warm saline / salty water rinses from 3rd post extraction .
8. Avoiding sleeping on that side for 3 days.
9. Take your Medication on time for fast relief and for fast healing
10. Avoid Smoking , drinking and tobbaco chewing until your socket get completely healed.
11. Avoid drinking liquid with Straw .

Do maintain your oral hygiene.
Do gargle thoroughly after each meal. So, no food can get stuck there.
Start doing lukewarm water gargle with a pinch of salt 4-5 times/day.
Do Post a pic of your healing socket for better guidance.
Keep the area clean and follow your dentist's instructions.
Dry socket causes unbearable pain. If your pain is reducing then don't worry about dry socket.
Dry socket does not form so easily it take atleast 3 days from your extraction with pain... Please keep following your dentist instructions properly and take your medicine
