2.5 month old son suffering from reflux
Hi, my son is an infant suffering from reflux and cow milk protein intolerance. He is on medication. I used to give formula as a top feed only once in the night. I have switched him to isomil (soy protein formula) Is soy formula safe is to use for a 2.5 month old baby? I tried giving him Nutramigen but he hates the taste of it. I need an honest answer for my query. Thanks

Aren't you breastfeeding? If totally top fed,use any formula, all are more or less the same. Soya milk products are used for lactose intolerance, leading to loose motions. Do NOT,repeat NOT use cow milk, ever! For reflux, meds are rarely indicated. Try this: Gap between feedings at least 2-1/2 hours,NOT lesser. Burping for atleast 10 mins after every feed. Lay baby oh his right side for 30 mins after burping. Use a small firm cushion so that your baby is raised about 15 degrees,i.e,place it below head AND shoulders.
