17 month old having vaginal infection
Hi, my daughter, 17 month old, has some kind of maybe vaginal infection which is not visible but she touches her private part many times as if trying to pee but she doesn't and if I take her to pee, she doesn't. She is not using any diapers since about 5 months now. She wears cotton underwear. She also doesn't let me touch her and never at ease if I try to do so. For 2 days the area was red aa well. There is no issue while pottying or in that area. Any medicine or cream that can help her? (Like quadriderm which is for adults).

Get urine examined . Give her more drinking water . Let her be without underwear intermittently during day . Wash her underwear with a gentle detergent and dry it in sunlight . You could apply simple moisturiser but NEVER a serous cream without prescription. If she needs antifungsl let the doctor decide .is she toilet trained by now? Does she have redness in other mucosa like mouth etc ? Do get in touch with pediatrician on video or post picture to take consultation. Ok give drinking water too .

It is very unusual to have vaginal infection at this age. If it's red, it might bhi due to fungal infection. U should take some advice from Pediatrician/dermatologist
