Cortisol and 17 OHP Tests
What are the normal levels of cortisol and 17-OHP tests for a new born baby? In the report shared by the lab, they has mentioned the normal levels as follows: Cortisol - 133 to 537 nmol/L 17 OHP - 0.07 to 0.77 ng/ML However when I googled, I got the below are normal range Cortisol - 4.4 to 25 noml/L 17 OHP - less than 630 ng/ML There is a huge difference between the normal range mentioned by lab and the google. Which one is accurate?

Hello parent! The units are in nmol/ L for cortisol and nmol/ L for 17 OHP too. The values mentioned by lab are comparable in these units to age standards in newborns For converting the cortisol to mcg/ dl we multiply by 0.0363 and to convert 17 OHP to ng/dL we multiply by 33.1 The difference is vast in different units and we need to ensure which units are being read
