13 weeks pregnancy blood in urine
Hi, I am 13 weeks pregnant and so far things appear normal in pregnancy but yesterday, I saw blood in urine, so much that the urine appeared completely red. I noticed that there is no vaginal bleeding at all and blood is only in urine. I got my usg done for fetal well being and urine r/m and culture done. USG reports are normal but urine r/m says RBC: 50/hpf, pus cells: 4-5/hpf, bacteria cocci: 2895/hpf and mucus: 90/hpf. I consulted my gynaecologist but she said she will start treatment only after the report for culture is available. Till yesterday, I had no pain, but today I am having pain in lower abdomen and thighs. I am worried if I should wait till then. I am not happy with feedback from my gynae as she has suggested nothing other than wait till culture reports. Tomorrow I wont get any doctor as it is sunday, please guide how this infection can effect my baby. Also, What other test I could get done for detecting hematuria. I have attached report for USG and Urine r/m. Thanks

You saw the blood in urine, but did you have any symptoms ? Do you have Fever? Since you didn't have any symptoms there is no harm in waiting for urine culture report. Secondly you have too many bacteria. So culture will surely show some bacterial infection. After that we can be more scientific in our approach. Obst USG at 12 weeks  is done with full bladder. If  Sonologist had known that you are having frank haematuria he could have tried to look into the bladder too. I suggest at this stage you have plenty of fluids . You should wait for culture report and then go for definitive treatment.
