Greetings Sticking out the tongue is usually a normal newborn tongue-thrust reflex. This reflex helps with feeding and prevents choking.

Newborns often rest with their tongue out in the first few weeks. This is usually a normal reflex and not worrying if your baby feeds well and breathes easily.
Next Steps
Keep watching her feeding and breathing, and mention this at her next pediatric visit if it continues for more than a few weeks.
