12 days baby bilirubin high
Hello Doctor, My Male baby is 13 days old and having a Bilirubin Total of 1.8mg(reference 0.2-1.2), Direct: 0.6(reference 0.0-0.2) and indirect as 1.2mg (reference 0.4-0.8) as on 13 days Age. No prior tests done. Baby is having enough mother milk and stool/urine passing normally. Is it a cause of concern? No visible Jaundice sign yet.

Dear parents,           Total bilirubin do remain high in starting days of life.         In all babies it increases from 3rd day of life up to 5-6th day & then slowly decreases on 10to12thday, in some a little bit late, but than it is normal nothing to worry.
Next Steps
Keep the baby in early morning sunlight or under a white tube light light for 15to20 mintues
