Your scan shows a live pregnancy at just under 10 weeks, with the baby's heartbeat present and the cervix looking normal. The bleeding is coming from a large collection behind the placenta, known as a perigestational haematoma. It has grown steadily across your last three scans, from 20mm to 60mm to 80mm. That steady growth means you should see your obstetrician again soon, rather than just completing two weeks of rest.
Next Steps
Please don't change or add any medication on your own, since adjusting treatment for a growing haematoma needs your obstetrician to review the scan in person. Ask whether a repeat scan in the next few days makes sense given how fast it has grown.
Health Tips
Go in the same day if the bleeding becomes heavy like a period, you pass clots, or you feel dizzy.
