I am Paramasivam from Vridhachalam, Cuddalore district.Admitted for Angioplasty in MGM on 5th of April, 2024. After recovery at the time of discharge, I wanted to convey my long standing complaint of fish bone (which I thought to be) in the lateral border of the tongue which is giving pain and there has been difficulty of eating on that side. Conveyed this to my sister's son, Raghuram (You can find his own surgical experience in the review section). Since he already had a good acquaintance with Dr Sanjeev Mohanty, he requested Cardiologist doctor to make Dr Sanjeev attend to me. At the first consultation itself, the doctor found it to be a cancerous ulcerative lesion and conveyed the same to my nephew. And Biopsy has been sought. The Biopsy was done (Just 3 days after Angioplasty). After 1 week, we got the results in which the ulcerative lesion is found to be Squamous Cell Carcinoma. As per TNM staging, it is found to be T1N0Mx. But initially I was not ready to accept it as Cancer and don't want to undergo any surgery. ** **** ** ****** *** ********** ** ****** ****** ************ **** ******* ****** ************ ** **** * **** ********* ** ***** ** ** **** *** ** ***** *** ** ******* **** ********* *** **** ********** ***** **** * *** **** *********** *** *** **** ******* *** **** ******* **** *** ************** ******* *** ****** *** ********** ******* *********** *** *** ********** **** *********** The Cardiologist opined that it is not possible to stop brilenta (blood-thinner) just before 3 months from the date of Angioplasty. So I went to my native without any hope in life. But my nephew deliberated a lot and wanted me to take this call as he had a lot of trust in Dr Sanjeev Mohanty. Once again Consulted Cardiologist in June month, Doctor given his nod to the Surgery with a high risk from Cardiac Point of View. Dr Sanjeev Mohanty asked us to stop brilenta from 8th of June and Surgery has been planned on 13th June. Despite the high risk from both Cardiac and anaesthetic point of view, Dr. Sanjeev Mohanty assured us about the outcome of surgery. The 6 hours surgery has been done successfully without any complications. The doctor has always been friendly and with the coming days, we have become more of a family friends. Post Discharge after 5 days from the surgery, I encountered a Secondary Haemorrhage (at night) which is well attended by Doctors assistant in the emergency department and Dr Sanjeev co-ordinated well with his assistants and also with my nephew. Recovered completely and adjuvant radiotherapy is planned (Though margins are free), for extended safety. This extended part of my life would not have been possible without Dr Sanjeev Mohanty******** ********** *********** ************ ************* ***** ********* *********** ****** ****** *** ****** ****** **** ******** *************

My chronic sinusitis, very severe, resulting in a complete anosmia and difficulty of breathing and oxygenating my body and my brain, is the result of a complex and long evolution of an illness which is the direct result of 'a very serious fracture of the nasal septum which I suffered during my sport career.
This illness, which I have carried within me like a heavy burden for half my life, has handicapped me and I have become accustomed to living without smelling, without having taste! Practicing “blindly” the social activity that I adore, cooking, the pleasure of receiving friends and sharing a great moment only by using my childhood memory was like a drama for me.
The second consequence of my illness was continuous, if not perpetual fatigue; systematic exhaustion at the end of the week, I fully supported my job with a lot of sacrifices and physical investment; a self-sacrifice that includes obligatory naps every weekend to regain strength, extreme efforts to cope with my responsibilities in an intellectually and physically demanding job.
I have had surgery 4 times, septoplasties, nasal polyps and turbinate removal, on almost every continent! My first operation was in Paris, my second in Buenos-Aires, my third in Paris again, my fourth in Spain. I met more than fifty specialists in these countries and in Portugal, Algeria or in Czech Republic. I must have had over 40 CT scans of my sinuses!!! The use of a CPAP machine in 2012 made it possible to treat my sleep apnea and partially improve my sleep situation, but my difficulty in breathing has never really been cured. All the alternative medicines, all the thermal cures in the many large countries in which I have lived, have not succeeded in overcoming my disease.
I consulted the clinic of Professor Mohanty Sanjeev following a bacterial sinus infection that a famous “Expat Hospital” in Chennai didn’t succeed to cure. This infection further complicated the context of my illness. At the very first moment of my consultation, I felt that I was dealing with a very great professional of extreme precision and rare know-how.
Very quick in his analyses, careful in listening, he offered to go for surgery in our second meeting after a CT scan analysis. Very warm, very close to his patients, I immediately felt confident, and I did not hesitate for a second to undergo for surgery very few days after. My sisters who are doctors often talk about the doctor-patient relationship. It is one of the important keys to treatment and in my case, it was the trigger because my operation was expected to be very complicated given the number of interventions already carried out.
My leaping feeling was confirmed throughout an operational process which was not “déjà vu”: The protocol put in place by Professor Mohanty Sanjeev is for sure in the WORLD BENCH. Very high level of professionalism of its teams. I particularly appreciated his didactic approach with his team and also with me. My operation was a complete success. I breathe, I have found life again, I work better and above all I have regained my sense of smell and taste.
I thank you very warmly Professor Mohanty Sanjeev. So Great, So Amazing said by the “Glob Trotter” that I am, is not a sufficient compliment! I will say quite simply and very sincerely “Excellent Job”, and I will allow myself to treat you like my sisters, doctors, with this closeness that you establish with your patients whom you treat like your family, and wish you to continue practicing for at least 25 years. , these long years that I waited to breathe again, regain taste and smell, to simply live again.
I recommend strongly Professor Mohanty Sanjeev, wherever you are on our planet, from the Americas, Africa, Middle East, Europe, and of course Asia, you will not easily find this level of expertise and human warmth.

Here’s my Story of Surgery !!
Being a doctor’s Son, I always had the opportunity to get treated at home with enormous love and care, until year 2020 when my father breathed his last.
From the last couple of months, I was having recurring cough due to which I was unable to concentrate on my work properly. And I am very choosy when going to any doctor as I always prefer a kind of doctor like my father, who takes care of the patient safe and sound.
Thats how, when I finally decided to meet Dr. Sanjeev Mohanty sir, who is an ENT SPECIALIST. He has a Speciality Clinic behind L&T Headquarters at Ramapuram, near my house. Myself and my wife went to his clinic, with a lot of questions in mind. The way he spoke and treated us took me to the memory lane of how my father used to diagnose his patients, in a calm way, with a smile and silently expressing that we are safe under his treatment.
He proceeded with the diagnosis and gave couple of medicines and asked to come again after a week. So we took medicines and happily visited him as per his advise a week afterwards.
Though my tonsils were reduced but the coughing still remained. And thats when he asked us to come back with a PNS scan. Finally we did that as well.
And the next thing he advised was an endoscopic nasal surgery. Half of my head was already spinning hearing that 😁, but he ensured that there’s nothing to worry and its just a small treatment. Doing this will help to reduce the risk to my health. He very calmly told me,”take your time Mahesh, think and let me know your decision.”
It took me a day, and I decided to go for the surgery. The only reason why I decided for the surgery is Dr.Sanjeev Mohanty sir. I was sure he will take care of me. His professional, human way of dealing , expertise and the positive energies was the strong foundation for my decision to get ready for this surgery.
I was tensed, but happy that finally we were able to find the root cause for my health issue. The surgery was done at the MGM Hospital in Chennai. Dr.Sanjeev sir and his team were so nice and caring , I felt 100% safe with them. Before the surgery he came to me and said,” Mahesh !! don’t worry, I am there.” . His words were so powerful that I was smiling even during the procedure for anaesthesia, relaxed and calm.
The next day he visited me and said that you are now ready to get discharged soon. He re-checked that I am doing good before he left for his home.
I had a wonderful time and indeed it was a good experience 😊. All thanks to Dr.Sanjeev sir for his love and care. Before leaving, I told him that I could feel the presence of my father, when he was treating me. Yes, that much love and care he will shower on you.
Thanks for taking sometime for me to take a photograph sir❤️ Much love
God bless you sir.
With Love, Mahesh Panicker

Exceptional Care and Expertise – Dr. Sanjeev Mohanty
First of all, I am someone who generally doesn’t write reviews on online platforms—but I had to write this one.
I am beyond grateful for the exceptional care provided by Dr. Sanjeev Mohanty, an outstanding ENT surgeon in Chennai. Living in the U.S., I struggled with sinusitis for months, enduring multiple symptoms that significantly impacted my daily life. The treatment plan prescribed by doctors in the U.S. felt slow, with prolonged wait times before confirming the extent of my sinus infection through a CT scan. Even after the diagnosis, there was still a wait period before any definitive action.
During my search for a more effective solution, I came across Dr. Sanjeev Mohanty—a highly experienced and reputable ENT specialist. From my very first online consultation, I felt reassured by his expertise. He carefully listened to my concerns, explained the treatment course, and immediately took the initiative to review my scan images thoroughly. After assessing my condition, he recommended Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery (FESS), *********** ** *** **** ******** ** ******* ** ***** *******
His approach was professional yet deeply personal, instilling confidence in me. In just two calls, he made me feel completely comfortable, and I knew he was the right doctor for my treatment. Without any delays, he scheduled my appointment for the next day, prompting me to travel from the U.S. to India. Upon arrival, he welcomed me with warmth and ensured that the entire process—from diagnosis to pre-surgery procedures—was expedited smoothly. His efficiency, expertise, and attention to detail were remarkable.
The surgery was scheduled promptly, and Dr. Mohanty personally oversaw every stage of my care. During my hospital stay and post-operative recovery, he frequently checked on me, ensuring that I was comfortable, healing well, and satisfied with the results. His dedication didn’t stop at the surgery—he scheduled weekly post-operative reviews, accommodating my schedule despite his busy practice.
I am now on the path to recovery, feeling significantly better thanks to his exceptional care. Dr. Mohanty combines deep medical expertise with a compassionate and personal approach, making patients feel valued and cared for. I wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone seeking an ENT specialist. His commitment to patient well-being is unparalleled, and I am truly grateful for everything he has done for me.

I've had a deviated septum ever since I was 12 years old. I actually visited Dr. Sanjeev Mohanty back then and he advised me to have the deviation surgically corrected. However, I didn't pursue it further.
Fast forward almost 20 years later, the deviation in my septum ended up blocking my entire left nostril. After suffering for about a year (felt like an eternity), I decided to finally get it surgically removed and scheduled an appointment with the doctor.
He just took one look at my nostril and the CT film and decided that I needed to get a septoplasty and a turbinoplasty ASAP. His over 30 years of experience clearly showed when we were discussing my issue. I immediately scheduled the surgery for the week after my initial consultation.
When I was lying on the operating table, the doctor was kind enough to greet me and assure me that everything would be alright and that it was just a simple surgery. Once the surgery was over and I was coming out of the general anaesthesia, the doctor was again kind enough to hang around to tell me that the surgery was a super success and that he was able to remove the deviated portion of the septum and enlarged turbinates.
It has been a month since I got the surgery done and the post-op recovery has been very smooth and uneventful. I can now breathe peacefully and I'm slowly getting my sense of smell back. Earlier, my nose used to get stuffy very easily (especially when I'm in an AC environment). But after the surgery, there's absolutely no blockage or stuffiness.
I am so glad that I finally got the surgery done by Dr. Sanjeev Mohanty (which I should have done 20 years ago). I highly recommend him for people going through chronic ear, nose or throat issues. Just consult with him once and he will give you a clear solution for all your problems.

I had been struggling with a persistent cold for a couple of weeks. Despite trying home remedies and allopathic medicines, my condition worsened, leaving me extremely uncomfortable and anxious. That’s when I visited Mohanty Clinics at Manappakkam and met the eminent ENT surgeon, Dr. Sanjeev Mohanty.
From the very first consultation, Dr. Mohanty was extremely kind and reassuring. He suspected a severe fungal infection and suggested a CT scan, asking me to return in five days. However, just three days later, I faced a terrifying episode of complete nasal blockage early in the morning at 5:00 am. In panic, I reached out to him—and to my surprise, he responded immediately, patiently calming me and guiding me through nasal sprays and continuation of the antibiotic course. That compassionate gesture alone spoke volumes about his dedication.
On 11th August, I met him again with the CT scan results. He explained the severity of the fungal infection and recommended urgent Endoscopic Surgery. Though I was deeply worried, his confidence, ********** and calm explanation gave me the courage to go ahead.
I was admitted on 14th August, and to everyone’s shock—including my family and the surgeon himself—a massive hidden fungal mass was found beneath the right side of my face. It turned out to be a highly complicated case, but Dr. Mohanty’s unmatched expertise ensured everything went smoothly. The surgery was a success, and I was discharged the very next day.
The following week, when the biopsy results confirmed it was only a fungal infection (and not cancer), words couldn’t describe the relief and gratitude I felt. Throughout the pre-operative, operative, and post-operative phases, Dr. Mohanty and his team provided exceptional care—attending not only to my medical needs but also to my emotions and panic with patience and empathy.
His ********** surgical skill, quick decision-making, patient care, and continuous follow-ups were truly beyond excellence. I feel immensely blessed to have been under his care during such a critical time.
I wholeheartedly and confidently recommend Dr. Sanjeev Mohanty and Mohanty Clinics, Manappakkam for any ENT-related concerns. You will not only receive world-class medical expertise but also compassionate support during your healing journey.
🙏 Forever grateful,
Abirami. M

Hi folks! First of all I highly recommend the top notch and accurate treatment of Prof. Dr. Sanjeev Mohanty for all types ENT, Head & Neck diseases and disorders.
My experience:
In 2019 I travelled from London to Chennai which was a 15 hours long flight, while I was suffering from severe fever and cold. During the landing I felt my right ear was blocked and ignored it as that won't be a bigger problem. But in later days I came to know that my right ear was permanently blocked and I use to experience extreme pain and irritation. It is really a very uneasy condition to have your ears blocked all the time. I visited many ENT specialists in Chennai but almost all failed to properly diagnose and help me with a solution.
Suddenly, few months ago the problem got much worse with terrible pain and infection. Meanwhile I came to know about Dr. Mohanty's ENT Clinic in Manapakkam, Chennai. Met Dr. Sanjeev Mohanty and explained my problem, he was very friendly and extremely patient to listen all my history. He suggested a few tests and scans to be done along with a course of medication to cure the infection in the middle ear. However, I finally came to know the issue I was experimenting was termed 'Barotrauma' - Blockage caused in the middle ear due to negative pressure. There was no other option than a primary surgical procedure to cure this. Dr. Sanjiv Mohanty was so kind and helpful to help me get rid of this issue finally. I was under medical observation for few hours in MGM Hospital before the surgery and was operated under GA. The very next day I was discharged from the hospital without any cuts or pain. It's almost a week now I am feeling much better. 75% of my ear blockage is cleared now and some times it feels like the ear is 100% open. Feeling so happy and comfortable after the surgery by Dr. Mohanty.
Thank you so much Dr. Sanjeev Mohanty for the kind help and support.
Note: Guys, the waiting time in the clinic might be little longer than we expect but be patient for the proper treatment. Good things take a little time in fact!

I don't know how to start, but Dr Sanjeev Mohanty is not just a Doctor He is a Magician! It is said that Medicines cure diseases, but only doctors can cure patients. It aptly suits him. I came up with a nasal block around April (2023) to the MGM Hospital after trying Nasal Steroid spray for 3 months by consulting an Local ENT. The first time, I didn't get an opportunity to consult with Dr Mohanty Sir (I don't even know he practices there). Haripriya Ma'am diagnosed me with DNS and ITH additionally with grade 2 Adenoid Hypertrophy. During my 2nd visit, Sanjeev sir itself wanted me to diagnose again as Adenoid Hypertrophy at the age of 23 is something suspicious, but the doctor ruled out it and advised me for Septoplasty and Turbinoplasty. I decided to go with the doctor's suggestion after seeing all the reviews which hold true! But as we are living in the Industrial Revolution 4.0, we tend to check the possible mishaps in the surgeries and start to Google about it (I too have done the same). The first thing Google threw about is Empty Nose Syndrome, fearing that I even questioned our Stalwart Dr Sanjeev which quite disappointed him. But during my surgery, he comforted me at the OT that you don't fear about ENS, I will take care of. Surgery results took a long time in my case as I had allergies too, around December I was able to breathe close to 90%. To conclude, My life was in Doldrums due to my nasal block as it limited me physically and mentally. But the doctor came as a trade-winds and helped me to sail again.
All I can say is Thank you Doctor🫂❤️. Also inspired by your High Ethical standards doctor. I wish you good health to serve our Chennai community and promote medical tourism through your expertise solving the great puzzles of our human body.
12/02/24 - Thanks once again doctor for your kind words & never seen such a grounded person.

Dear Sanjeev Mohanty Sir,
Thank you so much for the difference you make in the lives of your patients! I would like to express my deepest gratitude for everything that you have done for my dad’s post-covid recovery. You are a savior who has recrafted our shattered dreams. Thank you again for being patient in handling my queries and concerns during my dad’s therapy. On each and every trip to your clinic, I see the future getting brighter. You are the finest doctor that I ever come across in my life, I wholeheartedly appreciate your expertise and kindness towards the patients, you are a real-life hero and a living medical legend for the society. I have also exchanged a note with TN Government’s CM Cell to see if there is a recognition program to honor your great service to the society.
I would like to do a brief write-up about my experience with Doctor.
Covid-19, the pandemic has hit my family during May 2021 where my dad was infected. Brimming ambulance sirens, overflowing hospital beds has forced us opt for a home quarantine through a Teleconsultation with physicians. By god’s grace covid has departed its way after 14 days, however left it’s traces with the name of “Black Fungus”. Medical Mantra says “Early Detection is the Key” I would say Dr. Sanjeev Mohanty is a locksmith. We came to know about him through an online portal and got an appointment for a consultation, a thorough professional who has a crafted expertise for the medical industry has perfectly diagnosed the disease during our 1st visit itself. As per his direction my dad has
gone through a debridement surgery and was on anti fungal therapy.
Though this was a rare disease, Dr. Sanjeev Mohanty cleared drafted the treatment plan and cured my father with his greatest ability. He has also exhibited his kindness in arranging the medicines for my
father at a discounted price which has played a role of monetary benefit for us. In addition to this, there has been numerous instances where I bugged the doctor through phone calls and messages and yet he
preserved his compassion all the time.
Sleepless nights & endless worries are now come to an end - My father is now completely recovered and has completed his medicine course. All thanks to the Dr. Sanjeev Mohanty, we have him as our family
Doctor now. I don’t generally write such reviews, however Dr. Sanjeev Mohanty deserves a bow for his hard work for saving lives.
