Dr. Vijay Agarwal is a Professor and Lead Consultant Medical Oncologist with 20+ years of experience in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer. He is currently associated with Apollo Hospitals, Bangalore, and is known for delivering comprehensive, evidence-based cancer care with a strong focus on patient well-being.Prior to joining Apollo Hospitals, Dr. Agarwal has worked as a Consultant Medical Oncologist at leading institutions including Aster Hospitals, Healthcare Global Enterprises (HCG), and Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham (UK).Dr. Agarwal completed his MD in Internal Medicine from Manipal Academy of Higher Education, following which he pursued advanced training in Medical Oncology in the United Kingdom. He has trained and worked at several prestigious cancer centres such as The Royal Marsden Hospital, London, King’s College Hospital, London, Leeds Teaching Hospitals, and the Queen’s Centre for Oncology, Hull. He obtained his MRCP (UK) and completed his specialist oncology training (CCT) in the UK.With a strong passion for cancer research, Dr. Agarwal undertook dedicated academic research, leading to the award of a PhD from Hull York Medical School, UK. He has authored multiple research papers published in peer-reviewed international journals and has presented his work at national and international oncology conferences.Dr. Agarwal specialises in the treatment of solid tumours, offering advanced therapies including chemotherapy, targeted therapy, and immunotherapy.
