As Professor & Head of Medical Oncology at Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology Bangalore, Dr. Jacob has contributed significantly to patient care, clinical research, and education. He pioneered initiatives like setting up bone marrow transplant unit and improving chemotherapy facilities, benefiting large number of underprivileged patients. He has guided and mentored many students, lead many multinational clinical trials and co-uthored over 200 publications. He is an editorial board member and peer reviewer to many academic journals and is the author and host of the “Chemolighthouse” mobile app on Play Store – a quick reference guide for chemotherapy protocols. 1. He listens the patient problem very very carefully. Which is required for any professional, especially for doctors
2. If we have any reports, he concentrates on them, forget everything around and entire focus on those reports. He writes main points on his own sheet (I like this point very much)
3. Then he explains about his thoughts. And answers all our questions (Even silly questions for our limited knowledge).
Really if we worry more, then he smiles simply. From his smile, we can make out very easily that no need to worry much.
(BTW..,God gave wonderful smile to him)
He did the Chemotherapy for my father and completely cured him. My father was 79 then and now 86 and going strong. One of the Amazing person I have met in life and have great regards for him. He still remembers the person with the first word you speak over phone to him. Highly recommended for cancer treatments.
