Dr. Kishore Kumar

Dr Kishore Kumar is an alumnus of the Armed Forces Medical College, Pune. He is a Senior Consultant in Medical Oncology with over 20 years of experience. He has an outstanding academic record (including four gold medals, including one for topping Pune University during his post-graduation). He is a member of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons (MRCP UK and MRCPS Glasgow), a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), European Society of Medical Oncology (ESMO) and other national bodies. He has been a recognised Associate Professor and post graduate teacher at the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) Bangalore and King George Medical University (KGMU) Lucknow. He has a number of academic publications in peer reviewed national and international journals.He has extensive experience in managing solid tumors and haematological malignancies. He has worked in high volume oncology centers and was part of the team which established bone marrow transplant centers in two tertiary care hospitals. He has a large volume of experience in use of novel therapies including immunotherapy. He has been part of expert groups formulating policies for use of these drugs in Indian setting. He has also conducted research on breast conservation and reconstruction using upfront chemotherapy and single sitting surgery which has been published in peer reviewed journal. His areas of interest include immunotherapy, breast conservation in breast cancer, gynaecological and urogenital malignancies and translational research.
