My appointment with Dr. Giriraja Velayutham at SPARSH Hospital yesterday and today was quite reassuring and patient-friendly. I sought the second opinion from him about the laser surgery to my enlarged prostate which another doctor had advised. Dr. Giriraja after going through my medical reports opined that my problem could be treated with medicines for some three to four months and there is the possibility of the shrinkage of my enlarged prostate and the easing out of my urinary incontinence which has is associated with my prostate problem. He also said that in case the medicines do not bring the desired result then surgery is the next option. This has built confidence in me who doesn't want to be unnecessarily burdened both physically and financially.
