Excellent.She listens to the patient,thus gaining the confidence of the patient.She is humane . Goes through the reports meticulously, & explains how to take the medicines, specially the inhalers.A wonderful experience. Wish we have more Drs like Dr Roopa Racheal.

Very happy with the consultation from Dr.Roopa Rachel. Went without waiting as per appointment timing and doctor gave detailed explanation of symptoms, cause and problems faced. Ruled out the problem with only one test. Very good experience with the doctor and happy with her consultation.

I visited her to get treatment for dry cough, from which I was suffering for quite some time.

She suggested an "immediate" PFT to be done, which I did get done. However, even with the test results, she could not give any explaination or remedy for the cough. She kept insisting on using inhalers ***** **** * ***** *** *** *********** ******* ** ** ******** *and she demonstrated the same atleast 3-4 times. When my husband asked when I will be cured, she got offended!! and her response was let's just focus on her current state .... indicating that I am suffering from some long-lasting disease ****** *** ***** ********* ** *****

Lucky for me I was not convinced by her diagnosis ** **** ******* and visited a few other doctors and to my surprise all of them had one same advice to NOT use inhalers unless extremely necessary, since it leads to lifelong dependancy/addiction!!

And yes, she talks too much and listens too little.

P.S Dr. Rachel. the dry cough was gone in less than a week ******* **** ***********

I have visited this Dr on Vivek Clinic, BTM Layout and below are my input.

1. She is asking for lot of test again and again. I felt, she is having commission in every test. Now she has hired PFT guy who will do PFT in Rs 1000 at your home whereas same you can do in Rs 660 from Manipal hospital (old airport road).

2. She is asking to come frequent (by weekly/month) continuously and its never ending process. In short, she is making regular customer.

3. Also I felt, she is recommending very costly medicine.

4. She is telling, opening to patient that she can control the cough/cold/berating problem but there is no treatment for this as this is inherit from your parents/all.

5. She don't have any official receipt for payment. She will provide only on letterhead if you will request but that you can't submit for domiciliary claims purpose.

Good point - She know lot of languages and she talks a lot.

I just called her to check her availability and she started yelling “I don’t do phone consultation blah blah. She didn’t even have patience to listen. Then why share your personal number??? I won't recommend her to anyone. She was not patient and considerate enough to listen to my problems and whenever I asked any further questions with medication, she felt a bit frustrated in replying. She referred for PFT initially itself before checking. I was using rotocaps until now and no other doctor had asked me to change until now, but she forced me to buy turbuhaler, which is quite expensive. This medication probably has some steroids which seem to have got me heartburns and recently increase in thyroid level .

Dr Roopa is very friendly and takes time in explaining everything. But the problem lies in their treatment methods. *********** ************ *** *********** ***** the medicines recommended by her is pricy and your bill can easily go upto 4K to 7k in just one consultation. ** ** **** ******* *** ******** *** *** *** ********* ***** ****** ****** * ******* ********* *** ************

my mom was admitted to Sagar Apollo hospital. Dr. Roopa took really good care of her and she is very friendly. my mom doesn't listen to anyone about admission and taking care of herself but Dr. Roopa explained well about her health condition and now my mom listens to her own health issues better than anyone at home.

I was not given any test recommendations on both of the visits. I appreciate her for avoiding all unnecessary things. In general, I was given some medical prescriptions *** *** ********* *** ********** ***** I am happy with the results. I don't have to wait more for the consultation. The session was held in just 5 minutes after reaching.

Dr Roopa Rachel excellent Pulmonoligist, welcoming and makes the patient valued. My elderly mother feels so much reassured when she sees her and looks forward to her review visits.

Her bed side manner is exemplary.

I highly recommend this fantastic and dynamic physician and I thank her with all sincerity for looking after my mother and having such a great impact on my mother's well being. May God bless her and her family. Dr Farooq
