This was our second pregnancy, and we chose to be under the care of Dr. Vinutha ma'am once again. Since the mother is Rh-negative and had developed antibodies, the pregnancy came with its own set of complexities and required close monitoring throughout. At 32 weeks, there was a concern that the baby could develop anemia due to the antibodies. Dr. Vinutha patiently explained the two available options to us, performing an intrauterine blood transfusion for the baby or opting for an early delivery. She guided us through the decision-making process with remarkable clarity and expertise, while ensuring that the final decision remained ours to make. We chose to proceed with an early C-section delivery at 32 weeks and 5 days, and thankfully it resulted in a successful outcome. Both mother and baby are doing well.
