Dr. Vinayak V Maka

Dr. Vinayak is working as a Senior Consultant medical oncologist and BMT physician at Ramaiah memorial hospital.and HCG Ramaiah cancer center. He completed his Postgraduate and Super specialty studies from B J Medical College, Ahmedabad. He has numerous indexed publications in various peer-reviewed journals and poster presentations in national and international Conference. He has been a Principal investigator for multiple international Clinical trials. He has received multiple awards and research Grants from various professional Societies. Dr. Maka's areas of specialization include Paediatric and Medical oncology, haemato-oncology and bone marrow transplantation. He is familiar with diagnosing and treating all types of malignancies and carrying out autologous and allogeneic stem cell transplantations. He was actively involved as a part of a Hematopoietic stem cell transplant services team at Gujarat Cancer and Research Institute, Ahmedabad, which has performed more than 200 stem cell transplants till date. He was involved as an in-house consultant for setting up BMT Unit at HCG MSR Cancer center within a short span of 10 months, which had an official opening in February 2014. He was privileged to work under the guidance of Dr. William Hwang, SGH at Singapore for Advanced BMT and Haematology fellowship for six months Hands-on Training. There, he gained extensive experience in stem cell transplants for various Haematological diseases like benign blood disorders, solid tumors, and hematological malignancies as well as a neurological illness like multiple sclerosis.
