Since the last 3 years I was trying to find myself a therapist well aligning towards my issues and also someone who is trauma-informed, queer friendly, kind and empathetic in general. The very first session with Sumithra ticked all those boxes, and many more in addition. The last year has been challenging due to the pandemic and one of the reasons i have been able to regulate through it, is because of my sessions with her. Even though we always interact in the sessions virtually, it feels more than real and there is always a collaborative connection. Sumithra has helped me navigate through various downs in my life and has helped me to acknowledge and rejoice the ups too. She listens carefully and patiently and provides a tailor made comfortable and safe space for you to acknowledge your feelings, thoughts and emotions. I have an enormous amount of gratitude for her.
I've been seeing Sumithra S from Heart it Out for a few months now and despite my trust issues, she has made the sharing space very very comfortable, always respecting my boundaries and suggesting (and not enforcing) exercises that has really helped. It really makes a difference when one is at their poorest mental health to get help from genuinely warm and compassionate professionals.
