Dr. Sowmya Prakash

One word to describe her - A wonderful person than just a doctor. Thank you, doctor. We'll never forget you.

Let me share our wonderful story here. Our first meeting with Dr. Sowmya Prakash was in September 2019 when my wife was 1 month pregnant.

We did the same thing as everyone does, we did a google search and Practo search to find the popular Gynecologists near us we came across her profile but we were doubtful about the facilities in the clinic and the services she offers.

But things have changed and we changed our decision to go back to our native by the 8th month of pregnancy after the first meeting with her. When I look back, it was the most important decision we took.

She is a highly-skilled, talented, and timely person. I truly respect punctual people and I see the same quality in her. She always keeps track of appointments and schedules the appointments for us. We never missed even a single one to date.

Anyway, let me cut down the story short, due to the Pandemic, everything has changed upside down and when the delivery date approaches, no one was there to help us and we were worried.

She guided us, gave us confidence, and take care of my wife, and gave her mental strength and proper advice to make everything smooth.

On the scheduled delivery date, she gave all the necessary advice and instructions to follow and we admitted to Rainbow Children's Hospital for delivery. We were expecting a normal delivery and the staff followed her instructions for induced labor. We knew that she was taking care of everything even her physical presence was not there.

The process took more time than we expected she came to us in the morning and analyzed the progress and told us to wait. She gave us mental support and encourage us to stay confident. By evening, still, there was no sign of normal delivery and she suggested C-Section took her for the same.

But, after taking my wife to OT, she decided to wait for another hour finally, at 5.45 pm, our little prince arrived without any problem.

We saw one of our family members in her and we still have the feeling.

She made this journey a smooth, happy ending, and a wonderful one.

Only one word to say doctor, wherever we go, we never forget you in our life. You are such a wonderful person in our life. Thank you so much for everything. Keep going.

We should thank our lucky star's for coming across Dr.Sowmya Prakash's profile in practo . The sail through the nine months of pregnacy was real smooth with her guidance. Her smile and motivation on every visit would have already solved every concern .I had urine retention,gestation diabetes and several other issues during pregnancy which was handled perfectly by Dr.Sowmya Prakash . She was always available on call or via message on emergencies .I used to look forward for the next visit just to get few tips and comfort from her . Never had i faced any issues with appointment . If an appointment had to be cancelled . She would have done much before in advance .She would try for normal delivery until the very last min until you really have complications . She stayed with me in the labour room for more than 2 hours and tried for normal delivery .Only when health of both baby and me was in jeopardy C section was opted at the last minute . I cannot thank her enough with words for sailing me smoothly through the difficult times of pregnacy and ensuring delivery of healthy baby girl .I would recommend her confidently to anyone who is not just looking for a doctor but a companion for the journey called mothehood.

I have been consulting with Dr.Sowmya for last 5 years. I started visiting her for PCOD and regularing my periods and today I am a mother to twin girls.

Here is my experience with her over this journey-

She listens to your problems patiently.Doesn't prescribe unnecessary tests and medicines. She explains the reports, treatment prescribed throughly that mostly you wont have any questions to ask further. She is very trustworthy and friendly and I was very comfortable consulting with her. She attends to your calls/sms/whatsapp even at odd hours. She ensures to send over sms any thing that she prescribes orally over phone, so there is no confusion.When we started trying to conceive, I had fertility issues and I conceived through IVF. She referred us to a very good fertility specialist and scanning centre. I had complications from the start of my pregnancy and I am very grateful to her for guiding me to motherhood successfully. She motivates you and the positivity in her words helps you sail through the situation.We were extremely happy with the way she arranged for the delivery at Malathi Manipal hospital.

I would continue to visit her in future for any gynec related issues and would definitely recommend her to people.
