Dr Shruthi is one the few female surgical oncologists practicing in Bangalore. Dr Shruthi completed her MBBS from Hassan Institute of Medical Sciences, Hassan and M.S. General Surgery from Mysore Medical College & Research Institute. She further acquired M. Ch Surgical Oncology from Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology, Bangalore, India. Dr Shruthi currently works as a Consultant Surgical Oncologist at Fortis Hospital, Cunningham Road. Being a female surgical oncologist she has special interest in breast cancer treatment including advanced treatment like breast conserving surgeries and sentinel node biopsy and gynecological oncology including HIPEC. Dr Shruthi is also well trained to perform all types of cancer surgeries which include gastrointestinal & hepatobiliary oncology, lung cancers, head and neck cancers including thyroid cancers, kidney & urinary bladder cancers, skin tumors, soft tissue tumors and bone tumors.She has keen interest in upgrading her skills and learning about the advancements in surgical oncology to provide best treatment for her patients and has been awarded Fellowships in essential Laparoscopy(FIAGES) and Advanced Laparoscopy in Oncology(FALS Oncology) by Indian Association of Gastrointestinal Endosurgeons (IAGES). She has also been awarded Fellowship in Robotic Surgery (FALS Robotics) and is very keen in minimally invasive cancer surgeries.
