Dr. Rajiv Aggarwal

After completing his graduation and post graduation from prestigious AIIMS, New Delhi; he trained in advanced Neonatal Intensive Care in Australia. He helped set up the Neonatal Intensive Care in St.Johns Hospital Bangalore from 1995-97. He then joined as faculty in AIIMS. After 5 years in AIIMS he joined Narayana Hrudayalaya Children's Centre in 2004 and currently heads the Department of Pediatrics and Pediatric Intensive Care Services. His caliber as an academician and administrator has put the Department in forefront of Pediatric services in South India.Dr. Rajiv Aggarwal is an expert Pediatrician & Neonatologist working as a Senior Consultant & Head of Pediatrics Department at Sakra World Hospital. As a Neonatologist & Pediatric Intensivist, he has earned a reputation for being an expert clinician in Pediatrics and is known to be a veteran in the field.With more than 20 years of experience as a Child Specialist, Dr.Rajiv Aggarwal was instrumental in setting up the Pediatric and Neonatal ICU’s at Narayana Hrudayalaya Institute of Medical Sciences from 2005. He has now shifted to Sakra World Hospital effective December 2013, and his expertise is available for children in Pediatrics OPD and at the Neonatal and Pediatric ICU’s.He received his MD in Pediatrics from reputed AIIMS in New Delhi, and advanced training in Neonatology at the Department of Reproductive & Child Health, Nepean Hospital, Penrith Australia.Dr. Rajiv Aggarwal is also an Instructor for Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Neonatal Advanced Life Support (NALS), National Accreditation Board of Hospitals, India (NABH). Apart from the strong presence, he enjoys in clinical & medical field, he is also active on various fronts in movements and organizations for Neonates & young children – and serves as Organizing Secretary and Faculty member for several National and International workshops on essentials newborn nursing, Neonatal Ventilation, Neonatal CME Programs and Kangaroo mother care. He has also presented more than 50 research publications in National and International peer-reviewed journals.Dr. Rajiv Aggarwal has formulated & successfully implemented initiatives like “Well Baby Clinic” which are concerned with the follow up of normal Neonates; High-risk clinic – which focuses on providing comprehensive follow up of high-risk Neonates discharged from AIIMS; Pediatric Developmental Clinic – which gives specialized attention to children with Neuro – Developmental delays.
