Dr Padma Sundaram did her MBBS from Grant Medical College (Mumbai), MD in respiratory diseases from KEMHospital (Mumbai) and DNB Respiratory Medicine from National Board, Delhi. She was awarded theRaj Nanda Pulmonary fellowship and was trained in Sleep Medicine in the UK.She has been practicing as pulmonologist since last 31 years initially in Mumbai and later inBengaluru in a reputed hospital for the last 20 years where she helped setting up the department ofrespiratory medicine.She worked as Lecturer and as Associate Professor in Chest Medicine at TN Medical College Mumbai.She is a recognized Post graduate MD and DNB Professor. She is a member of Indian Chest Societyand Karnataka Pulmonology Association. She has published over 50 papers in nationaland international medical journals, presented papers in medicalconferences and participated in clinical trials.She is specialized in management of Airway disorders especially Asthma and COPD, Infectious lungdiseases, TB, multidrug resistant TB, ILD , fibrotic and occupational lung diseases. She has specialinterest insnoring and sleep disorders like obstructive sleep apnea. She has managed patients with respiratoryfailure with ventilators andnoninvasive ventilators in hospital and home setting including domiciliary oxygen therapy. She wasactively involved in themanagement of Covid patients and in rehabilitation of patients with post Covid lung fibrosis She isproficient in various procedures like Bronchoscopy, EBUS and medical thoracoscopy.
