Today marks our first wonderful week of parenthood. We are taking a moment to reflect on the incredible journey of the past nine months of pregnancy and the joy that has now begun. We longed to complete our family through parenthood, but our journey was marked by heartbreak as my wife went through multiple missed miscarriages during the early weeks of the first trimester. As all our medical reports appeared normal, we were categorized under "Unexplained Recurrent Miscarriage". Determined to understand the cause and find a solution, we consulted several doctors. However, most of them recommended IVF as the likely path forward. It was during this difficult phase that we first met Dr. Manjula S Patil in March 2025, almost a year ago. At that time, we were emotionally drained and uncertain about what to do next. She listened to us patiently, understood our concerns, and gave us hope when we needed it the most. Unlike many others, Dr. Manjula explained that IVF was not the only path forward and encouraged us to conceive naturally and sustain it with the right treatment and care. Her treatment started the moment my wife missed her periods. Throughout the journey, Dr. Manjula monitored the pregnancy very closely with almost weekly follow-ups during the first trimester and biweekly checkups during the second trimester. With her guidance, care, and timely treatment, we were able to cross the delicate phases of the first and second trimesters for the very first time, giving us hope and confidence at every step. Dr. Manjula ensured that all the relevant tests and monitoring were done at every stage to make sure the pregnancy progressed healthily. As we approached the final phase of pregnancy, she motivated and supported us in preparing for a natural delivery. Dr. Manjula Patil patiently allowed time for natural labour to begin until almost the completion of the full term. It was only during the 40th week that she recommended induced labour, while continuing to try for a normal delivery for nearly 12 hours. When the baby eventually showed signs of distress, Dr. Manjula and her team took immediate and decisive action by performing a C-section, ensuring the safe arrival of our baby and the well-being of both mother and child. Throughout every stage of the pregnancy, we felt that Dr. Manjula Patil was carefully monitoring every aspect and keeping us well informed at all times. I was presented at the hospital when my water broke and with very little cervix dilation . Dr. Manjula ma'am tried her best for vaginal delivery she helped me with other options as my pelvis was not descended and had to undergo emergency C-Section . We had an absolutely wonderful experience with Dr. Manjula S Patil at Ovum Speciality Hospital on Hennur Road. She recently performed a laparoscopic cystectomy on my wife, Sheema, and the level of care and attention to detail she provided was truly outstanding.
